Most of the meat goats in the U.S. are generally raised in the following regions:Western (California)-under a Mediterranean climate; the Southwesta semi-arid climate; Southeastern states - a temperate and a sub-tropical climate; and the Midwest - a temperate climate. Management practices specific for meat goat production in these regions will be covered briefly in this section and the following sections.
